Everything you need to know about working with us.

Booking deposit

All bookings are subject to a 15% non-refundable deposit unless another amount is agreed in writing prior to booking. Until a deposit is received by Centre Caterers Ltd your event is not booked in and we cannot guarantee your date or any services. Upon receipt of this to Centre Caterers Ltd the contract will be legally binding and you, the client, will be bound by these Terms & Conditions.


The final balance is due 3 weeks prior to the event date. If your guest numbers increase or you add services within this window after the final event balance has been paid an additional services invoice will be issues. Unfortunately if your guest numbers decrease within this window we are unable to adjust the numbers since stock will have been ordered and equipment booked in.

Variations to the price

Due to the current economical climate with our quoted prices for 2024 and beyond prices are subject to change in line with suppliers of Centre Caterers Ltd. We reserve the right to make amendments to clients quotes. The Client will be notified in writing as soon as possible and Centre Caterers Ltd will endeavour to try our best to keep quotes as accurate as possible.

Guest numbers

Should you guest numbers increase or decrease prior to your final balance payment being made all bookings and quotations are subject to being re-quoted.


In the unfortunate event of a booking having to be cancelled confirmation in writing will be required. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. The monies can be moved / transferred within 12 months of the original date and we are available.

If the client cancels earlier than eight weeks before the event date no additional charges shall be made. If a client cancels within eight to four weeks of the event date the client shall pay 50% of the booking total as a cancellation charge. If the client cancels within four weeks of the event date the client shall pay 100% of the booking total as a cancellation charge.

In the event that Centre Caterers Ltd is required to cancel your booking we shall inform you in writing as soon as is reasonably possible. Centre Caterers Ltd shall be entitled to terminate the contract whereupon we shall refund the deposit to the client. The client shall not be entitled to any other payment by way of compensation from Centre Caterers Ltd.


Any damage or losses that occurs to equipment including crockery, cutlery, glassware and all linens is at the liability of the client and will be charged to the client at replacement cost.

Dietary and Allergen requirements

Centre Caterers Ltd will endeavour to provide suitable adaptations to clients menus for any guest with special dietary requirements or allergies. We cannot however take responsibility for any guests unless advised in advance. No later than two weeks prior to the event.

Client Food & Drink

Centre Caterers Ltd accept no liability for any food supplied to the clients by another caterer or food products supplied by the client themselves. Food needs to be served within a 2 hour time frame if the client requires the food to be out for an extended period of time a food disclaimer form will need to be signed. Centre Caterers Ltd will happily serve a clients drinks, such as arrival drinks and table wine etc during their event subject to waiting staff or corkage fees, please ask for further details.

Force Majeure

Centre Caterers Ltd will not be liable for consequential damage of any nature for any reason as a result of any act or circumstance beyond reasonable control including but not limited to strikes, acts of god, fire, flood, accident or act of war.

In the event of such an event occurring Centre Caterers Ltd shall be entitled to cancel with immediate notice to the client and shall reimburse the client all charges paid as the date of cancellation less such reasonable preparation and administration costs of Centre Caterers Ltd and any non-refundable deposits paid by us to third party suppliers for services for the event.


Centre Caterers Ltd will not be held responsible for cancellations due to severe weather conditions. If the event is cancelled by Centre Caterers Ltd, the event may be re-booked with a new event date no more than 12 months after the original booking date, subject to availability. During winter months we recommend that our clients seek event insurance against snow and other extreme weather conditions.

Future changes to Terms & Conditions

Centre Caterers Ltd reserve the right to change our Terms & Conditions when necessary due to the continual evolving nature of our business. It is the clients responsibility to ensure they are up to date with our Terms & Conditions.

Data Protection

We will process any personal data collected from the client for the purposes of administering the booking for the event in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will not give your details out to any third parties unless the client has given consent.
